The One Piece Card Game was developed by Bandai and officially launched in 2022 to celebrate the global popularity of One Piece. The game quickly gained attention for its faithful adaptation of characters, story arcs, and abilities from the series, combined with strategic trading card game mechanics.

Its first starter decks and booster sets introduced core gameplay systems such as Leaders, Don!! cards, and color-based strategies. Early sets like “Romance Dawn” established the foundation of the competitive scene, while subsequent expansions expanded the roster of characters and deepened deck-building possibilities.

As organized play developed, official tournaments and regional events helped shape an evolving competitive meta. The game continues to grow globally, with regular set releases, balance updates, and a steadily expanding player and collector community.
