Tom and Steve have fun showing you some toys we suggest for Christmas presents
Introducing the WINNER of our Lost Toy competition, Wayne Thrussell. And what had Wayne lost? His WWF wrestling ring.
And now his figures have something other than a princess castle to play in after getting his daughter into wrestling. We're not surprised he's "super pleased with the gift"! Congratulations, Wayne, and enjoy the rediscovery of your lost toy.
Perhaps you want to visit or bring your child to our shop but you’re concerned about sensory input and risk of meltdown. Well, now you needn’t worry because we have introduced two sensory hours: one on Mondays at 9.30 & the other on Fridays at 5pm.
Imagine a whole hour in a relatively quiet zone, with the arcades muted, the radio off, think library silence rules, and no flashing lights, plus the shops are manned at the door to manage customer levels and most importantly our staff are very kind.
There’s no need to book, and if those hour slots aren’t suitable then you can book out of hours by appointment.
Why have we done this at Toy Planet? Because one of the Directors has a family member with hyper sensory difficulties. Additionally, he has 30 years’ experience at Scouts working with neurodivergent and disabled children. Neurodiverse & disabled people want the same things as neurotypical and abled people - to enjoy themselves in a shop like ours. We believe that nobody – children and adults alike - should be excluded from enjoying themselves in our shop so we want to offer a quiet and calm environment to ensure no one misses out.
